How PriceFrugal is paid, and what that does and does not influence.
PriceFrugal is free to use. This page explains how it makes money, in plain terms, because US advertising rules (the FTC’s endorsement guides) and the affiliate networks we work with require it — and because you should know.
Affiliate links
Most links on PriceFrugal are affiliate links. When you click one, a tracking cookie is set by the affiliate network, and if you go on to buy something the retailer pays us a commission on that sale. The commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your price.
What it does not affect
- Your price. You pay the same whether you arrive from PriceFrugal or type the address yourself.
- Our listings. A retailer cannot pay to be listed, to rank higher, or to have a weak offer described as a strong one.
- Our wording. End dates and terms are printed as the retailer published them.
Networks
We take part in affiliate programmes run by networks such as Awin and Impact. Each retailer’s programme has its own terms, which we follow.
