How we check codes
What happens to an offer before it appears on the site, and what happens when it expires.
A coupon is only useful if it works. This page explains what happens between a retailer publishing an offer and it appearing on PriceFrugal.
1. Offers come from the retailer
Every offer here is taken from the retailer’s own affiliate programme feed. We do not scrape codes from forums or copy them from other coupon sites, and we do not invent “codes” that are really just links.
2. A person reads it
Before an offer is listed, someone on the team reads the title, the code, the end date and the terms, tidies the wording so it is clear, and removes anything that is not a genuine saving.
3. The end date goes on the card
If the retailer gave an end date, it is printed on the offer. If they did not, the card says “No end date given” rather than pretending. When an end date passes, the offer leaves the live list that day and is briefly kept in a labelled “recently expired” section before it is deleted.
4. The terms stay visible
Minimum spend, exclusions, new-customer-only rules and similar conditions are shown on the card itself. The longer version, in the retailer’s own words, sits under “See details”.
5. Tell us when something breaks
Retailers can withdraw an offer without warning. If a code fails, report it and we will check it and take it down if it is dead.
